Spencer Sinclair is a professional artist and educator based in Pennsylvania. With over 14 years of experience in drawing and painting, she is passionate about encouraging others to explore and develop their artistic gifts. Her work has been collected by art lovers across the United States and even internationally in Germany.
As both a teacher and practicing artist, Spencer combines technical skill with a heart for inspiring creativity. Through this course, she is excited to guide beginners in building a strong foundation with oil paints, making the medium approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding for anyone ready to begin their artistic journey.

My approach to painting is gentle, mindful, and easy to follow — combining beginner-friendly techniques with a focus on slowing down, staying present, and enjoying the process. Each lesson is designed to help you connect with your creativity, build foundational skills, and create beautiful artwork with joy and intention.
Observe Natural Forms
Slow down and study flowers with care, learning how to notice light, shape, color shifts, and composition in reference photos and real-life florals.
Build Confident Foundations
Create loose pencil or brush sketches to block in shapes, map values, and plan your paintings, without overthinking or needing a perfect drawing.
Paint Expressive Florals in Oils
Layer oil paints thoughtfully and gently, from underpainting to final details, using blending, glazing, and brush control to bring softness and life to your florals.
